This project began broadly as a response to widespread coverage of attitudes towards women during the Trump presidency. The early experimental stages focused on women and their bodies, with my paintings and protest placards functioning as a confrontational response to male dominated attitudes towards our bodies. During the development stage I started to focus more on the figurehead of prevailing social attitudes towards women, Donald Trump, and the project developed as a series of 50 satirical drawings of him and things he said about himself during his presidency. These drawings were brought together in a publication, ‘A Tale of Trump..’
